Sara Gilbert: Hosting Talk Show For Moms

Sara GilbertConcerned about what you’ll watch after As The World Turns goes off the air this fall?  CBS has just announced a new talk show, specifically for mothers, which will likely replace the long-running soap.

Similar to “The View,” the show is hosted by 6-women, in this case all mothers, who will discuss and debate a variety of parenting issues.  According to CBS, “Show segments will include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, live remotes from the field and personal home footage.”

To date the show’s name has not been announced, however, CBS does tell us the names of their panel of hosts.

Julie Chen – host of “Big Brother” and co-anchor on “The Early Show” who lives a bi-coastal  life with her husband, CBS CEO Leslie Moonves, and their four children.

Holly Robinson Peete – a Mom who recently battled with Brett Michaels for the Celebrity Apprentice title, Holly and her athlete-husband Rodney Peete, have been married for 15 years and have four children together.  They currently live in Los Angeles.

Sharron Osbourne – has successfully raised three children with her husband, rocker Ozzy Osbourne.  Sharron is a judge on the popular television show, “America’s Got Talent” and currently resides in Los Angeles.

Leah Remini – star of King of Queens and JLo’s BFF, Leah lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Angelo Pagan and their four children.

Marissa Jaret Winokur – the Tony winner and “Dancing with the Stars” contestant is raising her son, Zev, in Los Angeles with her comedy-writer husband, Judah Miller.

Sara Gilbert – Sara developed the show and also serves as executive producer.  Best known for playing teenager, Darlene, on “Roseanne” Sara also recently secured a role on The Big Bang Theory.  Sara lives with her partner, Allison Adler and together they are raising two children in Los Angeles.

Noting their hosts generally outspoken personas, CBS promises the show will be “an hour of television with timely discussions, unfiltered opinions and a lot of personality.”

Look for the show to debut on CBS in the fall.
