Despite being just 7 years old, there is little doubt that Rhema Marvanne has an amazing talent. The up and coming singing sensation hails from North Texas, and first captured the public’s attention during a singing performance at “The Season of Hope,” Saturday at the Richland Country Fairgrounds.
Sadly, Rhema lost her mother to cancer one year ago. Today, the young would-be superstar says that her mother is her inspiration. Of course, her father, Teton Marvanne, could not be prouder of his daughter.
Rhema appeared on the ‘Maury Povich’ show, during an episode which sought out the most talented kids in the world. She’s also scored herself a role in Gerrard Butler’s new film, Machine Gun Preacher. In the movie, Butler plays a drug-dealer turned crusader who makes it his mission to save kids. During his baptism, Rhema sings “Amazing Grace” and it is at that moment that his character transforms from evil to good.
