Less than three weeks after announcing her re-engagement in U.S. Weekly, Bristol Palin says that her relationship with Levi Johnston, her on and off again boyfriend/fiance and the father of her child, is over.
Bristol picked a new venue to announce her break up – she shared the bad news with People Magazine. Apparently, the end began on the very day the U.S. Weekly article hit new stands. What happened? That evening, Johnston confessed to Bristol that he might have fathered another child on another young girl. Bristol didn’t name the woman, but a pregnant ex-girlfriend of Levi’s is currently busy denying that he is the father of her child.
In her interview with People, Bristol spoke through tears about heartbreak and humiliation. About feeling trapped by the timing of Levi’s confession. She adds that Johnston has been cool throughout the ordeal - ”There’s been no remorse,” she says.
“The final straw was him flying to Hollywood for what he told me was to see some hunting show but come to find out it was that music video mocking my family,” she says. “He’s just obsessed with the limelight and I got played.”
And she’s responded by leaving him, this time, she says, for good. She’s also given up her Anchorage townhouse and moved home for the time being, seeking privacy and safety from the lurking paparazzi.
Bristol is still hoping she’ll find love, and a good father for Tripp. ”I have faith that I’ll find it. Through this whole experience I know I need a man who’s going to be completely honest with me and someone who loves me and Tripp and wants to be with him all the time. I also want someone who has religious beliefs and a good family.”
