Fisher-Price, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada have announced a recall of the Little People Play’n Go Campsite because parts could break and expose potential choking hazards to small children. 96,000 products were sold in the U.S. and an additional 14,000 in Canada and all agencies are encouraging consumers to immediately stop using the Sonya Lee figure included and obtain a new figure.
As of now no injuries have been reported but there have been eight reports of the Sonya Lee figure breaking at the waist. This recall involves the seven-piece plastic play set that includes Sonya Lee, a tent and other accessories with the product number R6935 is printed on the packaging. The name Sonya Lee is printed on the underside of the figure. Only Sonya Lee figures that bend at the waist, have a green sweater and purple camera around the neck are included in this recall. No other Sonya Lee figure is affected and the remaining pieces of the Little People Play ‘n Go Campsite are not affected.
