Jackie Evancho America’s Got Talent (Watch!)

By Heather B on August 11th, 2010

This morning, everyone is talking about Jackie Evancho, the 10-year old girl who stole the show on America’s Got Talent last night.

Jackie sung Italian aria, “O Mio Babbino” and astonishingly sounds like she’s at least 30.  Piers Morgan even jokingly asked her age, just to be sure.  Seriously, close your eyes and listen – there’s no way you would think you’re listening to a 10 year old!

Watch Jackie Evancho on America’s Got Talent below:

Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but she’s also adorable, which will surely earn her some points with the audience.  The judges love her and she receives a standing ovation!

I just can’t believe that she didn’t audition for the show earlier?  Why did they have to find her video on You Tube?!

Jackie reportedly received the most votes of all the You Tube audition clips, and already has a huge fan following.  She first began singing two years ago, after seeing The Phantom of the Opera when she was 8 years old.  She started singing songs around the house, and that passion continued to grow, leading her to the amazing moment we saw last night on America’s Got Talent.

Bravo!

Jackie did audition for AGT, I think twice, and was turned away by their field “judges” or whoever it is that listens to regional auditions. Jackie showed them last night just how wrong their field teams are! Just goes to show you – never give up on a dream!
