Woman Puts Cat in Bin: What Should Be Her Punishment (Watch)?

By AAyles on August 25th, 2010

Mary Bale, the 45-year-old bitch woman who was caught on video throwing a cat into a dumpster, is facing public scrutiny today and may face charges in the coming weeks.

As you can see from the video footage below, Mary sees the cat (whose name is Lola) sitting on the side of the road. She begins to pet the cat but seems somewhat suspicious as she starts looking around to see if anyone is watching her. A second later, Mary takes Lola by the scruff of the neck and throws her into a nearby garbage bin and shuts the lid.

Luckily, Lola’s owners caught the woman on tape and put the footage on the Internet.

Police have now found Mary and have spoken to her about the incident. Mary now says she’s “profoundly sorry” for her actions and chalked it up to “a split second of misjudgment.”

Whether or not Mary is sorry is irrelevant at this time. The point is, the poor 4-year-old cat would have died if no one caught her on tape. Someone who can be so cruel to an innocent animal should not be roaming the streets.

So the question is: Should Mary be charged with cruelty to animals? And my answer is yes. The other question is: Should she be put in jail? And my answer to that is yes as well.

If she can throw a helpless cat into a garbage bin, officials should have no problem throwing a useless woman into a jail cell.

If I had my way, she’d be spending a 24-hour period in the same garbage bin she put Lola in. Eye for an eye, right?

You know where we stand on the incident. Let us know what you think of Mary Bale and her cruelty towards Lola.

put her in the hole in a prison.

This worthless, fat, aging, distruntled with life in general woman definitely needs to be charged with animal cruelty without provacation. also needs psychiatric evaluation, as next time it could be the neighbor’s kid! If you are the OWNER, (I sincrely hope u are reading this or someone can pass this to you) put pressure on the landlord to have her evicted for creating a hostile environment. one has the right to live in a community situation with pets, kids and she needs to be cognizant of this fact.your cat was not a nuisance, just sitting outside pecefully. There is NO remorse in this woman, not much going on in her middle aged life, hence they turn to society, animals, kids to blame for their failure. Being a young man(owner) do not just brush off this incidence..pursue for punishment. people like her need to be punished and made a precedent case out of.If not for this priceless camera,ur cat could be dead..or may not get lucky the next time with your or a neighbors pet/kid. Get other neighbors to petition her out of the apartment community. My prayers to your cat,( such a sweet thing) and for what you have gone thru. hope it helps. I see a psychopath lurking in this woman..what other deeds could she have done without the cameras..it is people like her society has to watch for..

i have a cat and if she did that to mine i would stick her in the bin,she looks fat enough to last a few weeks without food unlike that poor cat!!!!

Folks, her weight and her age have nothing to do with her behavior. You really have no idea what her life is like. That said, it obviously was a deliberate act to destroy the cat and she should be prosecuted. Unfortunately our laws do not protect animals from this kind of behavior.

A clearly unstable woman needs mental help and kept away for all living creatures with a very long evaluation.

Mary Bale–you totally SUCK as a person! Why do plastic, thoughtless, people like you even exist? Maybe someone should throw YOU in a trash bin, and see how YOU like it. I hope they slap you with cruelty to animals. Have a nice day now!

There is no question that this sick woman should be prosecuted. What further evidence is needed?? It is clearly a case of cruelty . There can be no excuse. The police should be doing important jobs, not protecting her – people have to take responsibility for what they do.

There should be no question that criminal charges should be laid for this behaviour. She showed no remorse and was petting the cat moments before dropping it into the bin. Who knows if her disturbing behaviour would even stop at animals.

As the owner of 16 cats, I was appalled by what this woman did. Yes, she should have to pay some consequences for her actions. Like children, these animals are not asked to brought into the world but I feel wholeheartedly that it is our job to protect, love and nurture them. Shame on her.
