Oprah’s home-makeover maestro, Nate Berkus is following in the footsteps of previous Oprah regulars turned full-time talk show hosts – Phil McGraw, Rachel Ray and Mehmet Oz – landing his own hosting gig which premiers in syndication today.
The Chicago-based interior designer says his show will be about “lifestyle” and “living well.” Of course, his set, which is “going to be like a little character on the show” Berkus told USA Today, is reportedly gorgeous, however, for Nate the show is more about the stories and connecting with his guests rather than just paint and fabric.
Executive producer of the Nate Berkus Show calls the host “a mix of old school Phil Donahue – women are sitting there, starry-eyed – and new media Jon Stewart. He can go from being a sensitive, kind, heartfelt listener to someone where you’re crying it’s so funny.”
