Taylor Swift Speak Now: New Album Availble Today!

By Heather B on October 25th, 2010

Taylor Swift Speak NowBrace yourselves Taylor Swift fans – today is the day that the singer’s new album, ‘Speak Now,’ is available in stores!  The much anticipated CD has garnered a lot of publicity, as Taylor, known for writing songs about her life, is holding nothing back.

“I’ve never kept quiet the fact that I write songs about people,” Taylor told MTV.  “It’s like, this is album number three.  You guys have had fair warning!”

And there are some guys who I’m sure wished they paid more attention to Taylor’s warnings.  In ‘Better Than Revenge’ a track on the ‘Speak Now’ album, many believe Taylor attacks ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and actress Camilla Belle – Joe and Camilla dated after meeting on the ‘Love Bug’ set and many have thought that Joe ditched Taylor for the actress.

“She’s not a saint, she’s not what you think, she’s an actress.  Whoa.  She’s better known for the things that she does on the mattress.  Whoa.  Soon she’s gonna find, stealing other people’s toys on the playground won’t make you any friends.  She should keep in mind, she should keep in mind, there’s nothing I do better than revenge,” Taylor sings [via Twirlit].

Taylor also takes a shot at John Mayer, in ‘Dear John’ asking “Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with, the girl in the dress, cried the whole way home.  Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with, the girl in the dress wrote you a song.”  Romance rumors swirled after Taylor and John recorded a duet together last year.

However, ‘Speak Now’ also marks the first time Taylor apologizes in song for her behavior in a relationship.  In ‘Back to December’ Taylor admits she broke a boy’s Taylor Lautner’s heart.  “It’s a song and a conversation that needed to happen, because I don’t want to hurt people.  If you unintentionally do so, you’ve got to make that better,” she told USA Today [via Kid Glue].
