“For me, family is life,” the 27 year old model told W Magazine. So it’s no surprise that Miranda Kerr admits that the decision to start her own with husband, Orlando Bloom, “wasn’t complex at all.”
Their summer wedding even managed to catch the paparazzi by surprise, though the couple had been dating since late 2007. However even Miranda was a little surprised by her pregnancy. “I was wondering why I’d been so sick,” said the model, who learned she was pregnant while shooting a Jill Sander campaign in Paris.
Yet despite a successful career, Miranda is in no hurry to get back to work after her baby is born.
“My career has been wonderful, but it’s not my life. I don’t feel pressure to get back to work.” Instead the Australian native has a long-term goal of a life of domestic bliss.
“My goal involves a hammock, a vegetable patch, and a solar-powered house. And I hope to eventually get there.”
