Today, November 11, is Veterans’ Day – a federal holiday honoring military veterans. The holiday is also known as ‘Remembrance Day’ or ‘Armistice Day’ in other areas of the world.
It is important for all of us to remember and understand the sacrifices that brave soldiers have made and continued to make for our country.
U.S. President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed an Armistice Day for November 11, 1919, to commemorate the end of World War 1.
