Two of Jon and Kate’s eight children have been expelled from their Pennsylvania private school.
Collin and Alexis Gosselin, both 6 years old, are now being homeschooled. However, reports of the Gosselin kids running wild and acting out have been extremely exaggerated, a source tells PEOPLE magazine.
“The situation is being grossly overstated. The kids are going through a challenging time, but Kate doesn’t feel this is something that should be discussed publicly. It is a private matter.”
Each of their eight children have had “difficult moments” in dealing with Jon and Kate’s divorce, but Kate insists that overall their brood have weathered the storm.
“They’re just amazing, resilient, loving kids,” she told PEOPLE recently.
Previously the Mom and reality star was under fire for allegedly screaming, “You’re embarrassing me!” at one of her daughters after discovering she had been suspended from school.
New York City psychologist Dr. Gilda Carle told Holly Baby [via Kid Glue], “Here’s a kid who’s acting out, and Kate makes this all about her! What Kate should do is discuss with her daughter why she’s acting out – not by yelling or lecturing her, but by listening to what the child has to say.”
