It’s not every 18 year old who wants to spend their birthday dancing with their mom, but then again, Miley Cyrus is most decidedly not every 18 year old. When asked about her birthday plans on the red carpet for the American Music Awards, Miley told Access Hollywood:
“I’m going out dancing later — we rented out a space so all my friends can come,” she said. “Me and my mom actually have choreography for the night later — everyone loves when we dance in unison… so it’s going to be good.”
Miley and her mom have plenty of practice dancing together. Apparently they love playing dance video games on their Kinect:
“There’s one [move] where you do like, the fist pump. You ‘Jersey Shore’ it for a second!” Miley told Access. ”We got a bunch of moves going on. Everyone goes wild when me and my mom have choreography, so it’s going to be good.
“My mom, she beats me at that game!” Miley added. “She had 600,000 points yesterday, I had 300,000. She is such a good dancer — she really gets it.”
Miley’s mom wasn’t the only grown up at the shindig. Miley’s current on screen mom, Demi Moore, who is playing Miley’s mother in the upcoming comedy LOL: Laughing Out Loud showed up to celebrate with her daughter Rumer.
Miley says she plans to celebrate her birthday all month:
“I have a birthday month,” Miley told Shaun. “I do the whole month of November. Thanksgiving, cake – [it's] all about me on Thanksgiving!”
