We’ve watched her grow from a bushy haired, precocious eleven year old to a slight but powerful teenage witch as Hermione Granger. Now Emma Watson is showing the world that she’s all grown up too. Besides attending Brown University and taking well chosen supporting roles in films that don’t involve muggles and wizards, Watson has also become a staple in the fashion world – even designing her own line.
Watson has her own website, which allows fans to keep track of everything she’s up to. It also allows the always well spoken and upbeat star to send Christmas greetings to the world. Watson’s message outlined everything she’s done this year:
“I designed an organic clothing collection with Alberta Ferretti due out next Spring, a fair trade range for People Tree also due to be released in the Spring, fronted the Burberry Spring/Summer 2010 campaign, had my first British Vogue cover, filmed a small part in My Week With Marilyn alongside Michelle Williams and Eddie Redmayne and, of course, filming finished on the very last Harry Potter film!”
Watson is also typically composed and gracious, adding: ”I continue to be overwhelmed by the love and support you all give to me. I really do appreciate it. So wherever you are this December, I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and wish you a wonderful New Year.”
With so many of our teen’s favorite stars struggling to avoid the pitfalls of young fame, it’s nice to see Watson continuing to thrive and be a role model to girls everywhere. Happy Christmas Emma!
