Most Popular Baby Names 2010 Inspired by Glee, Mad Men, Teen Mom

Dianna AgronPopular shows like Glee, Mad Men – even Teen Mom – are said to have inspired this year’s most popular baby names.

Glee cheerleader Quinn may have struggled to regain her popularity at William McKinley High, yet the name Quinn is 60% more popular this year than it was in 2009.  While names like Finn, Jenna and Lea are also on the rise, according to BabyCenter.com [via HollyBaby].

Baby names deemed fashionable in the 1960’s have also found themselves super chic in 2010, and it appears we’ve got Mad Men to thank.  Betty, Roger, Helen, Jane and Freddy are all experiencing a resurgence in popularity.

Teen Mom has also had an effect on the most popular baby names of 2010.  Farrah, Maci, and Bentley are all on the rise.  In fact, Sophia holds the number one spot for girls names this year!  However troubled teen mom Amber finds that her name has lost favor, down 15 % compared to 2009.
