It’s no secret that former ‘Hills’ star Heidi Montag and her mother, Darlene Egelhoff, are estranged. Heidi famously called the cops on her Mom when she arrived at her house earlier this year, after expressing disapproval regarding Heidi’s 10 plastic surgeries. The reality star even contemplated slapping her mom with a restraining order after the incident.
A noted blogger, Darlene initially stopped including anecdotes about Heidi in her posts after hearing second hand that Heidi had reportedly accused her of writing about her just to dig up more web traffic.
However, in a new post, entitled “It’s time you showed a little respect!” Darlene blasts her daughter and claims her posts are “if anything helping [Heidi’s] image [via Radar Online].”
“Heidi was so unbelievably cute and such an equal part of our family, all but the last year, that without her our history is incomplete,” Darlene wrote. She is a part of our family whether she acts like it at this time or not. If you don’t like it Heids, call me, let’s work it out, otherwise too bad.”
Darlene continued, “I’m the mother; it’s time you showed a little respect. I have made mistakes but none that warrant completely shunning your entire family as a result.”
Adding fuel to the fire, Spencer has accused Darlene of being insincere about her public reconciliation attempts with her daughter.
“If I [needed] an acting coach, I would go to Darlene,” he said. “She can cry on cue like she’s Julia Roberts!”
