Child Stars: Does Your Kid Have What it takes to make it Big?

By AAyles on December 22nd, 2010

As a parent, you always want to encourage your children to pursue their dreams and be successful in whatever they choose to do with their lives. If they want to be a lawyer, you might help them pay for law school, if they want to be an athlete, you might enroll them in local sports and if they want to be a star, you might enroll them in acting, singing or dance classes.

No matter what path your child chooses, you want to support them in any way you can. Studies show that a significant number of today’s children aspire to be stars. This can include singing, dancing and acting (and possibly a combination of two or all three) and it’s important to get them the training they need to be successful in their endeavors.

Once you think your child has what it takes to stand out from the rest, it’s your job as a parent to seek out opportunities (and roles) that might be ideal for your kid.

Parents of top talents like Britney Spears, Hilary Duff and Justin Timberlake will tell you that Disney is the perfect place for your child to get their big break.

Disney Channel is always holding auditions for new roles (some lead roles, some secondary or supporting roles) in all types of shows from comedy to musicals. You can check out many of Disney’s open auditions here.

It’s important to support your children and help them achieve their dreams. You’re a parent and if your child wants to be a star, it’s your job to let them shine.

2011 could be the best year of your child’s life!
