Fans fell in love with Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s adorable son Mason and ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ but the one-year old is said to be taking time out from the spotlight – at least for now.
“You’re not going to see Mason,” Kourtney reveals to PEOPLE while talking about just who will be appearing on the family’s latest reality series, ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York.’ “Scott and I decided not to have him on the show this season.”
Kourtney admits that she often gets a little “weirded out” to see her young son on television, adding that “he can’t make the decision if he wants to be involved in this craziness or not.”
As filming wrapped for the show, Kourtney knew that she made the right decision by keeping Mason out of the media circus that ensued while filming scenes in New York with her sister, Kim Kardashian.
“I think we made a good decision to leave him off the show because it was really crazy and really hectic any time we left the hotel,” Kourtney explained. “There was massive paparazzi, so we tried to keep him as protected as possible.”
However, Mason may make his return to the small screen at some point in the future. “I think we’ll take it season by season,” the mom – reality star said. “We’ll see how it goes and how we’re feeling at the time.”
