Brooke Burke is a former Dancing with the Stars champion-turned-host of the show but her career often takes a backseat to her family.
The mom of 4 (Neriah, Sierra, Heaven and Shaya) opens up to her fans in her new book The Naked Mom where she reveals some shocking details of her life as a mom.
Perhaps one of the most shocking (and controversial statements) made by Burke in the book is that she doesn’t always like her kids. She explains that she “loves her children madly” but that sometimes she “doesn’t like” them.
I think most moms will agree that there are definitely moments where, if it was acceptable, you’d leave your kids in the house, lock the doors and head to the mall solo for the afternoon, which is basically the point that Brooke’s trying to make.
“It was one of those scary “naked truths” I call them in the book,” Brooke said on Good Morning America today. “I reveal I don’t always like my children and taken out of context and I thought that could really be misinterpreted. I don’t think most people are strong enough to understand I love my children equally and I love them madly and deeply.”
