It’s the infamous question posed by people everywhere on February 2nd of each year: Did the Groundhog See His Shadow Today?
Traditionally, there are two groundhogs – one for Canada and one for the US – that reveal to residents whether we can expect 6 more weeks of the cold, bitter winter or start preparing for the early arrival of budding flowers, fresh rain and sunshine.
We’re happy to report the 2011 results are in – and we think you’re going to be happy with the outcome!
Major parts of the US and Canada have been hit with the worst storm of the season this week but America’s Punxsutawney Phil and Canada’s Wiarton Willie are both saying that there will be an early spring this year.
To sum it up: Both groundhogs failed to see their shadows this morning meaning there will NOT be six more weeks of winter and there WILL be an early spring.
Unfortunately, that also likely means less snow days for your kids in school. We’ll let you break the bad news to them…
