Justin Bieber took some time away from the studio to catch a Knicks game last night. The 16-year-old pop star was enjoying the game – until he started getting booed by fans.
The poor kid was just smiling for the cameras as the crowd booed loudly. Even the sports commentators noted that the booing was inappropriate.
I mean, seriously, what kind of horrible people think it’s okay to boo a 16-year-old boy who has done nothing but make music and try to be a good role model for kids? It’s so sad.
With everything that’s been happening in the media lately involving bullies and suicide, you’d expect more from grown adults. And if there were other kids booing Justin last night, you’d expect more from their parents. Seriously. It’s inexcusable.
Justin was probably humiliated and embarrassed but he continued to smile at the camera and politely talk to his friend while the booing subsided.
In fact, now that I think of it, the same thing happened last weekend when I went to see the movie No Strings Attached. Before the movie began, there was a preview for Justin’s new movie Never Say Never and as soon as he came on the screen people in the theater started booing. I thought to myself, thank goodness the poor kid isn’t here or he would probably be too humiliated to even walk out.
So sad that this actually happened to him.
Grow up, everyone.
He’s a kid for crying out loud!
Do you think it was appropriate for the crows to boo Justin during last night’s game?
