In yet another strange twist in the Charlie Sheen saga, Miley Cyrus seems to have struck up a Twitter based friendship with the unhinged comedian. Cyrus, who very vocally gave up on Twitter more than a year ago, returned to the site a few days back. She listed Sheen’s tweets as one of her two primary reasons for coming back.
“‘Do not fear…the Sheenius is here!’ I’m not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning,” she wrote.
Sheen, of course, jumped right in and replied to her with:
“Dear Miley, Welcome back to Twitter! Always felt you were epic… Now you proved it! Thanks for the love! ybh c @gypsyhearttour.”
Cyrus responded: “@charliesheen I always felt the same about you! You have taught me everything I know about WINNING. Duh!”
Apparently she also tweeted a friend of hers and told him that he had been replaced by Sheen as her BFF, then wrote:
“Makin dinner for my fam right now. Honey sesame chicken, garlic rice & salad. There’s only one thing missing & that’s @charliesheen YBH!”
If one was a cynical person, one might think that both Sheen and Cyrus were using each other’s internet notoriety to build up their following on Twitter and to snag more eyes, and more articles, to keep their separate fame machines pumping. Sheen can certainly use the boost with his tour dates falling flat and loosing ticket sales. The question is whether Cyrus is really throwing Sheen’s name around to get attention for her tweets, or whether she’s just been caught up in the Sheen-madness.
