Kate Middleton might have gotten married today, but yesterday another famous Kate has some marital bling of her own to share. Kate Hudson revealed her engagement ring from her baby daddy, Muse’s Matt Bellamy on the Today Show yesterday morning.
Hudson demurely waited for Matt Lauer to notice the rock on her ring finger before bringing up the engagement.
Hudson told Lauer, “It just happened a week ago, I’m so glad you noticed. I haven’t really announced it and I felt like the announcing thing feels so silly, and I was just waiting for someone to notice.”
UsMagazine.com says that their jewelry expert believes that Hudson’s engagement ring is a platinum band with an emerald-cut diamond and tapered baguettes on the side. It appears to be approximately nine carats in weight.
The estimated value of the ring is $200,000. It might not be an oval cut sapphire surrounded by fourteen diamonds that once belonged to Princess Diana, but it will most certainly do!
