The paparazzi have been affecting Prince William’s life since he was born, and ever since his mother died while being chased by paparazzi in Paris in 1997 the whole family has been very sensitive to privacy issues. With a new young wife in the family, that sensitivity was bound to increase ten fold, and it has. The legal battles have begun, starting with two separate cases. First, the publication of five year old photographs of Pippa Middleton sunbathing topless and second over photographs of the late Princess Diana in the moments after her fatal crash, which appear in a documentary about her death.
The Pippa pictures — showing the 27-year-old on a powerboat with older sister Kate (in a revealing bikini) and William (in a red and white bathing suit) — prompted the Middleton family to file a formal petition to Britain’s independent Press Complaints Commission.

This probably going to be just the first round of a long battle to give the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge the normal life they want.
“That and security would have been of primary importance,” Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine told the AP. “We’ve known for a long time William would not stand for any nonsense regarding his new wife and her family.”
The British people, who normally eat up scandalous details on celebs with relish, agree.
“I think they should be left alone to be honest, after what happened to Lady Diana,” Marla Quinn, a 43 year-old receptionist from Surrey told the AP.
Do you think Kate and her sister should be left alone – or are they public terrority now that they’re royalty?
