Hold your horses Glee and High School Musical fans. Your two favorite worlds aren’t colliding…. yet. The internet rumors that are buzzing over the prospect of Vanessa Hudgens joining the Glee cast for a few episodes all started with a comment she made in Cannes this week, not with any actual prospect of her being on the show.
“I totally would,” she told MTV when they asked her whether she’d be up for a Glee guest role. “I’m all for musicals. I love what they’re doing. But I’m very go-with-the-flow, so if it happens, awesome.”
Of course, not only have the Glee casting directors not brought this up, Vanessa herself didn’t even come up with the idea. As Zap2it.com points out, who wouldn’t want to guest star on Glee?
But, the idea does have a certain ring to it, doesn’t it?
Hudgens recently played Mimi in Neil Patrick Harris’ production of Rent at the Hollywood Bowl. She will also be seen shortly in Gimme Shelter, a movie about a pregnant teen who ends up on the streets after being shunned by her father.
