The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be vising North America soon, get your party hats ready! Or, you know, brace yourself now for the traffic if you’re in one of the cities they happen to be visiting. It’s been well known that they were visiting California and Canada, but their exact itinerary has recently been released by the palace. Apparently the kids will be traveling from June 30th to July 10th. Here’s the break down:
- June 30-July 2: The National Capital Region (Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec)
- July 2: Montreal
- July 3: Quebec City
- July 3-4: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
- July 4: Summerside, Prince Edward Island
- July 4-6: Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
- July 6-8: Calgary, Alberta
- July 8-10: Los Angeles
The U.K.’s Daily Mail says, “the newly-weds will make an emotional visit to the Canadian airfield where Kate’s late grandfather, Peter Middleton, was based as an RAF pilot during the Second World War.” He and Catherine were very close until his death, at age 90, last year.”
Their visit to Los Angeles may be a bit more lighthearted, but apparently this is still no vacation. A palace source told People.com, “The couple view this as a working visit, not as an opportunity for them to meet celebrities.”
