Caught On Tape – Teacher Punches Student! (Watch!)

I think the teacher was clearly acting in self defense.  That does not mean that she handled the situation leading up to the confrontation well.  Most teachers find ways to defuse confrontational situations.  We don’t know the rest of the story here.  But once she was backed in a corner with a young man larger than she was right in her face punching at him was really her only option.

If he approached me in the same manner following a tirade of verbal assaults, he wouldn’t be getting up.  Then again, I’m 6′2″ and 290…he probably wouldn’t have approached me like that.  My guess is a poorly parented bully, accustomed to getting his own way and doing what he wants and wasn’t much intimidated by a smaller framed 64 year old woman.  What a douche.

Shame on the school for not standing up for her. Unfortunately this is typical. I’m so glad for her that she was cleared. I hope this stands as a precedent in other cases. It’s time to stand up for what’s right. Students have no business acting aggressive towards staff. I think the student should be charged.

The young man who pulled the teen away from the teacher could of done it sooner and there might not have been punches thrown , but then again maybe thats why he didn’t, but when an elderly  teacher is threatened how does she know that another way of handeling it would of not resulted in her being beat on instead .glad the teacher gave him a what for before he could hurt her.
