Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman Welcome First Son!

By Bridget Tyler on June 15th, 2011

Natalie Portman and her fiance Benjamin Millepied announced today that her baby bump has officially become a baby – a son! The baby, whose name has not yet been shared with the press, tops off a big year for Portman.  She won the Oscar for her portrayal of a ballerina struggling with madness in The Black Swan. She has managed to avoid the so called Oscar Curse as well, beaming her way through award show after award show with finace and baby-daddy Millepied in tow and no signs of fracture between the two.

Portman has spent a lot of time beaming this year.  And why shouldn’t she?  She’s having the year of a lifetime and it’s only getting better.  In December, after announcing her pregnancy and engagement, she told Entertainment Weekly, “I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.”

As for motherhood, the thirty year old isn’t forming any expectations.

“I really can’t say what’s going to happen,” she told ABC News. “I have no idea what to expect. It’s just accepting that I have no idea.”
