Duggars Welcome ANOTHER Baby to the Family!

By AAyles on June 16th, 2011

America’s biggest public family is getting bigger, as the second grandchild was welcomed into the Duggar clan yesterday just before 7pm. The eldest of the 19 Duggar children, 23 year-old Josh is now the proud father of 20 month-old Mackynzie and a brand new baby boy, whose name hasn’t yet been publicly announced. Along with his wife Anna, Josh certainly seems to be following in his parents’ footsteps as the new generation of Duggars joins in on TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting”, which follows the adventures of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s ever-expanding brood.

Glowing grandparents Michelle and Jim Bob are happy, excited…and just as zealous as ever. While they couldn’t be happier to become grandparents, they have not ruled out more children of their own. Their most recent child, 18 month-old Josie, was born prematurely, but she’s thriving now. Rather than being weakened, defeated or just plain exhausted, 44 year-old Michelle seems in complete control of her heart and mind when she insists that she would welcome another baby, if it was in the cards.

This unique family has divided their audience into two camps: those who dislike the idea of rampant reproduction for the strain it puts on the earth’s resources and those who feel like the Duggars exemplify what it means to be good parents and a happy family. And then there’s the idea of exploitation through the media, which some believe casts a shadow on their pious lifestyle. One thing’s for sure, this seems to be the most loving, content and cooperative controversial family on television!
